Makeup Menu #4 - Winter

The Makeup Menu is back and I'm going to show you how you can create a very winter appropriate look! I tried to keep a balance between highend and drugstore products so I hope you like it!

To begin with for the base I have the Lancome Teint Idol Ultra 24H Foundation, this foundation is extremely flawless on the skin and also quite full coverage! I did a review on it (here) so you can check that out if you fancy! It does last a very long time and it is a demi - matte finish which I quite like in the winter. Also for concealer I opted for the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer, I have just been loving this concealer so much recently because it always looks flawless under the eyes and the coverage is amazing, so you've probably gathered now that I do like my more full coverage looks for the winter! I also have a review on this (here)! For blush an obvious choice for me would be the Maxfactor Creme Puff Blush in Gorgeous Berries because it's just that perfect berry, winter colour that a little flush of on the cheeks would look beautiful!
Now for the eyes I have chosen the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette because it has some lovely cool toned neutrals in there that would be perfect to create any smokey eye with, It's my go-to everyday Palette for the winter! Also to go on the eyes is the Soap&Glory Smoulder Kohl Pencil Eyeliner in Black, this is a very pigmented eyeliner and I would put this on the waterline and also along the Lash line then smudge it out a bit to create a more smokey look!
Lastly for the lips I have the NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Absolute Red, this colour goes beautifully with the cool toned eyes and it just pulls the whole look together! I feel like dark red lips are very suited for winter nights!

So they are all the products I would typically use on a day to day basis for the winter!
What are your go-to products for the winter?

November Favourites!

This year has gone so fast! It's basically December already and I can't wait for the holiday's, so it's time for me to share my favourites of this month!

Firstly, I have the Loreal Lumi Magique Foundation. I have found myself reaching for this nearly every single day this month because it gives me the perfect glowy but super natural base which I absolutely love, it is nearly undetectable on the skin and on me this lasts very well on a normal day. I can't say enough good about this foundation right now!
Next I have the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, this Mascara is all sorts of amazing. It lengthens, separates, volumises and just makes your lashes look super fluttery and dreamy. This is definitely one I would recommend to everyone so if your looking for a new mascara, try this one!
I also have a nail polish I've been loving which is the Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish in Peachella. I know it's autumn going on to winter but I still cannot get enough of the bright corally summer colours on my nails. I've worn this nail polish so much recently and it lasts a good week on my nails as well which is obviously a bonus! I apply just 2 coats of this for an opaque finish and I just love this!
Lastly I have been loving Maybelline Brow Drama in Dark Brown. My eyebrows have a tendency to go wild throughout the day so this definitely does the job at keeping them in place all day and most importantly they don't make my brows feel hard and crispy. The colour in it does help to fill in slightly all the little tiny sparse areas and makes it look all one!

That concludes all my favourite for this month!
What are yours?

Real Techniques Cheek Brush!

Im going to show you a few ways in which you can use the Real Techniques Cheek Brush and multitask it! I love brushes that can be used for many different things and it also saves you a budget! This brush is domed shaped and its not too dense but not too fluffy so it's a good all rounder, it does only come in the nics picks set but if you can get hold of it then do!

1. First off, you can use this brush for foundation. When you apply foundation with this, it just gives a flawless finish because sometimes you don't want to use a super dense brush to pack on the coverage, so on them days were you want to apply your foundation very lightly, this is perfect!
2. Blush is the obvious one as it is called a Cheek Brush. This does apply a good amount of blush to your cheeks as it has that ever so slight dense feel to it but it also blends everything out as you apply from the fluffy part of it. You can go as light or as heavy as you want with this just with the amount of pressure you apply.
3. You can also use it for contouring. Normally you would imagine a contour Brush to be very thin and precise but this is completey the opposite. I use this whenever I feel like I want a slight thicker contour on a day to day basis, it does work really well for that so give it a go!
4. I use this Brush for an all over glow as well, especially in the summer. I like to take a highlighter on this and dust it all over the high points of the face, it applies the product really beautifully and the amount is just perfect!

So that's all I like to use this Brush for! What's your favourite multitask brush?

My Tiny Nail Polish Collection!

So I thought I would show you my pretty small nail polish collection. I just recently have been getting into nails so its definitely a growing collection and in a years time I can do another one and see how much more I've collected!

These are all more of my 'bright' nail polishes. To start off with I have the Rimmel 60 Second nail polish in Peachella, this shade is hands down my favourite colour ever, I can wear this over and over again and never get bored of it! It's a peachy coral shade and I normally do about 2 coats with this to get an even finish although sometimes I find it may need 3, for me this does last a good 5-7 days too!
As you can see I do love my BarryM nail polishes too as I feel like they are amazing quality for the price. The first one I have is just from their original nail polishes and it is in the shade Strawberrie Ice. It's a very nice light pink shade but I feel like this needs a fair few coats to get an opaque finish and for me it does take quite a while to dry which can be a bit annoying because I hate waiting around for nail polish to dry!
I then have two nail polishes from their Gelly High Shine range and I really love the formula of these, they obviously have a gel like formula and you can get away with one coat if you apply a thick layer. It doesn't take super long to dry which is a huge plus and the two colours that I own are Greenberry and Grapefruit, these are beautiful bright colours that I absolutely love!

These are the last few that I own! The first one is a Loreal Colour Riche Nail Polish in 408 Exquisite Scarlet, I would describe this as a true red colour and I love it for them times where you don't want a pinky red and you don't want an orangey red, just a true red and it really makes a staple to any look! Again, you need about 2 coats with this nail polish but I do really love this one!
Next I have another BarryM polish but this one is from the magnetic range that came out quite a while ago now and I thought the concept of it was very cool and like nothing I had seen before! I have the shade Venus Sunset which is a grey kind of colour with red shimmer running through it and it is so gorgeous, all you have to do with this is apply two coats of it and straight after the second coat, you hover the magnetic lid of the nail polish on top of your nails for a few seconds, then it comes out with a really cool effect!
Lastly I just have a Topshop Base & Top Coat. This is nothing special and I have to say that this isn't the best but it is just the one I have now and it works as base and top coat decently! A top coat I have on my wish list is definitely the Seche Vite Top Coat which everyone raves about!

So that concludes all the nail polishes I have in my tiny collection! How many do you have?

Stila In The Moment Eyeshadow Pallete!

I have had this pallete for quite a while trying it out and testing all the colours so I thought it was about time I did a review on it! In this range of Stila palletes the 'In the light' Pallete I would say is the most popular but I really liked the purple tones in this Pallete so I had to get this one which is the Stila In The Moment Pallete!

The packaging on this pallete is cardboard and has a magnetic closure, its fairly thin which is great for traveling purposes but the magnetic closure is quite weak so anything could make it open quite easily which would also make it slightly less convenient for travelling!

The colours in this are so gorgeous. You get the top row full of beautiful purple tones from light to dark then the bottom row full of amazing golden warm tones and I think the shades are to die for! The colour selection is very well thought out and that is a huge plus onto this pallete! You also get a purple eyeliner with this pallete which is a very nice creamy eyeliner that goes with all the looks you can create with this pallete!
These are the eyeshadows swatched. The top row has no primer underneath and the bottom row has primer underneath so you can see if wearing a primer under these shadows help the vibrancy of the shadows at all and I have to say that without a primer they are definitely not as intense as they can be!

Although the colours are ever so gorgeous, the main thing you need in eyeshadows are pigmentation and blend-ability and although they have swatched on my hand pretty well (which I was surprised about) when they go onto the eye the pigmentation of only some of them are very disappointing. I feel like the top row and the bottom row have completely different formulations as the top row of eyeshadows (especially the middle bright purple colour) has barely any pigmentation, then when you try to pack it on it becomes hard to blend although surprisingly the first eyshadow in this pallete -the bright white shade- is the most pigmented eyeshadow in the entire pallete! The bottom row is slightly better in pigmentation but it isn't the best you can find especially with the price tag of this product!
Overall some of these shadows are not so good but half of them are not bad and you can make use out of them so it just depends on weather you have the budget to splurge on such a pallete or not!

Have you tried this pallete? What are your thoughts?

Brow Kit Essentials!

Hey guys, so im really sorry for not posting regularly recently! The new academic year has just started and I'm just about getting used to my routine now, so I have definitely put time every week where I can sit and write blog posts for you! So please stick by me and I love you!
I posted a picture on my Instagram a few weeks ago of my 'Brow Essentials' so I thought I would go in depth on what I like to use for my brows because I don't think I've talked about brows before!

Once in a while I like to sit down and go through each individual step to perfect my brows. I start off by using a disposal mascara as my little spoolie to brush through my brows and make sure I can see the exact shape and I know where the outlines are. Then I like to take my tweezers -Tweezerman have the best tweezers- and tweeze any hairs that are really obvious out of your natural brow line, although I wouldn't go too close to the brow because I would leave that to a professional but any hairs that are further down, just give them a pluck.
I then take the spoolie again and brush all the brow hairs directly upwards, it may look super wierd but you then want to cut your brow hairs that are super long and go really far up. Place your scissors at the top of your brow line and cut all the hairs that go above. Then you can brush them back into place and doing this step can prevent your brow hairs from going 'wild' because they will be short! Don't be afraid to cut them, they will look better!
After all that you can take your favourite powder/pencil you like to fill your brows in with. My current favourite is the Benefit Brow Zings kit because it looks so nice and natural in the brow and it lasts all day! The last step I like to take is using a brow gel, my favourite is the Maybelline Brow Drama because you can't feel it in your brow and it doesn't make your brows crispy either! This will help your brow hairs to stay in place all day and if you get a tinted one it can add a little colour too!

So that is how I like to do my brows and I keep all these things in my brow kit all the time! What are your favourite brow products?

Back To School: My Makeup Routine!

School is right around the corner, for some people it may have already started and for some there are still a few day to go so either way today I'm going to show you what will be my School Makeup Routine!

I feel like Primer is always a necessity when it comes to school because you need your makeup to last all day! My primer of choice is the Makeup Forever Hydrating Primer as it smoothes out the skin and keeps it hydrated all day. Also, it feels really good when you apply this in the morning because it's like a boost of freshness and it really wakes you up!
A light weight, light coverage foundation is always a good idea for school because you don't want to have a cake face everyday or feel like your wearing lots of makeup so the Bourjois Happy Light Foundation ticks all the boxes for a suitable school foundation for me!
I also think for concealer, a light weight one would work perfectly because it will conceal your imperfections but it won't make you look like you have lots of makeup on and the one I have picked out is the Maybelline Eye Eraser Concealer, this concealer is amazing for under the eyes and occasionally on blemishes but I think it would do really good for school!
To set all that base makeup into place to also ensure maximum longevity the powder that I love to use on a daily basis is the Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder. I love this powder because it sets all your makeup without making it look powdery or cakey which I love! It really makes your skin look flawless all day long.
For school, the only things I would put onto the eyes would be Mascara and Pencil Eyeliner in the tight line of the eye because you really don't need to need to go all out with eyeshadow and liquid liner as they're just time consuming in the morning and many schools in the UK don't even accept makeup so you really want to go for the bare minimum! The mascara I will be using will be the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara because this mascara is my new favourite mascara! It separates, lengthens and adds volume all at the same time and I have just been lovinggg this recently! The pencil eyeliner which I am currently using is the Soap&Glory Smoulder Kohl Eyeliner in the brown shade. I'm going for a brown eyeliner as is much softer and less harsh than a black and I think that it is perfect for school! Just pop it in the upper rim of the eye and it will add subtle definition and thickness to the lashes without anything too visible!
Lastly for the lips, most days I would just go for a bit of tinted Lip balm maybe but if I want a little bit more colour but still super natural I would go for the Mac Lip Pencil in Subculture. This shade is not far off from my natural lip colour so it only adds a hint more nude to the lips and sometimes I would apply a bit of lip balm over top of that to make it a little glossy!

So that is my back to school makeup routine! Let me know if you love any of these projects as much as I do! And good luck to everyone going back to school!
Much Love

New Skincare Loves!

I only ever buy new skincare when I'm finished with a product because as I am still young, I don't want to be using many different products at the same time because it can play up with my skin. I recently finished up my day time moisturiser and I finished up my oil cleanser a while ago but I just never got round to repurchasing one until recently and these products are my replacements!

The moisturiser I decided to go for was the Yes-to Carrots Day Cream. I haven't really heard much on this moisturiser but it looked very appealing to me as it is aimed towards people with dry skin -which I definitely have- and the whole brand itself is a natural brand that only put mostly natural ingredients in their products. I was expecting a lot from this product and I must say... It did not disappoint! It is extremely moisturising and is quite thick although it does not make the makeup you put on top slip and slide around which is definitely a good thing! So far with this product has been good so if you have dry skin like me, you must try this!
The Oil Cleanser I purchased was the Una Brennan Super Facialist Cleansing oil. Again, I hadn't heard much on this product at all so I was browsing around boots, then came across this oil and thought it looked pretty good. It claims to brighten and take all traces of makeup off so I put it to the test and it did turn out to be quite good! It removed all my face and eye makeup really well although I found myself rubbing on my eye a little to try and get my mascara off, I do find that I have to do that with a lot of cleansers so I'm kind of used to it but except that, this cleanser is amazing!

So these are my new skincare loves! What are yours?

My Travel Makeup Essentials!

As promised from my last post -My Travel Skincare Essentials- , this is my travel makeup essentials. As you may know I went on holiday recently and I am simply showing all the products that I took along with me! I didn't take too much makeup with me as I wanted to go for the ultimate no makeup - makeup look on a daily basis and I also took my staple products that I love and I know will work well for me!

To begin with, for my base I took the Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream. This product gives me a flawless very light covergae base and I love it, it looks so good on the skin and mine is nearly running out and I will definitely be repurchasing it!
For concealer I took my trusty old Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, this is just my ride or die concealer, I absolutely love it, it is a staple for me wherever I go!
I decided to take my Sleek Luminous Pressed Powder as I just wanted to take something that won't make me look flat and matte and will add more glow to my skin instead. I do really like this powder and it definitely prolongs the makeup while adding a tiny glow.
I also took with me my holy grail bronzer, The Body Shop Honey Bronzer. You all know how much I love this bronzer! I have many other bronzers but I always go back to this because it is simply amazing, from the colour to the pigmentation. I love it.
For the brows I just took the Maybelline Brow Drama in Dark Brown just to tame the Brow and add a little bit of colour to them too! I don't really do much to my brows but I always like to set them because they tend to go wild throughout the day!
I only took a pencil liner with me, the Soap&Glory Smoulder Kohl Eyeliner for the water line as it just gives subtle definition without being too much, like I said I wanted to go super natural!
I had to take my new favourite mascara at the moment (full blog post coming soon) the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. This mascara is all sorts of awesome, it gives legnth, volume and it makes it look like you have lots of lashes which is a huge plus!
I had to also take 2 different lip options depending on what colour I was feeling that day. I took the NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Skin Tone as my peachy nude shade and the Mac Lipstick in Peach Blossom as a more pinky nude shade! These are two of my favourite nudes and I love them!

So that concludes all my essentials for traveling! Make sure you check out my last post for my skincare essentials too!

My Travel Skincare Essentials!

So I just posted on my Instagram (beautily14) a picture of my skincare travel essentials and in this post I'm going to go in depth about all the products I have taken with me on holiday and I'm going to show you the minimal makeup I have brought with me in my next post! I will also do a post soon all about my holiday so look out for that, and that is also the reason for the lack of posts (sorry). I just brought with me my staple skincare bits that I use on a daily basis (except one thing, which I will mention later).

To start off with, the cleanser that I took away with me was the Soap & Glory Drama Clean 5 in 1 Micellar Cleansing Water. I have recently been trying this cleanser out and I do really like it as far as micellar waters go. It breaks down your makeup in an instant and it also takes off eye makeup well as well so I have been loving that! I did also take some cheeky wipes with me as well, the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Wipes because I knew I was bound to have some lazy nights when you just can't be bothered to take your makeup off the proper way but these wipes are Micellar wipes so I'm convincing myself they are good. As for SPF, because it is summer we need to protect, I am using the Garnier Ambre Solaire Face SPF 30. This is just a bog standard SPF but it is important! For my day time moisturiser I took with me the YesTo Carrots Rich Day Cream. I only bought this the other week and I am just trying it out of this holiday, so I don't know what to make of it just yet although what I can say is that it is very moisturising like it claims. My night time moisturiser has been the same for ages and its the Forever Aloe Moisturising Lotion. This is a thick moisturiser that really sinks into the skin for a deep moisture layer.

So these are my skincare travel essentials that I wouldn't go anywhere without! Watch out for my next post to see my makeup essentials!

Artist Of Makeup Highlight & Contour Sticks!

I have wanted to try out these contour sticks for ages now, ever since Artist Of Makeup first launched because at that time they were very unique and I believe AOM were the first brand to create the 'Cream Contour Stick'. Now, many brands have come out with their own but I still waited to try the Artist Of Makeup ones because I have not seen a bad review on them yet.

I can now say that these contour sticks did not disappoint at all. They are creamy and smooth and blend like a dream, a little definitely goes a very long way with this product because it is very creamy although now you'd think it doesn't set and it moves around the face but no. It sets very nicely and you can layer on a powder contour on top to intensify it and prolong the longevity of it too. You can apply them under your foundation for a much softer contoured look or over your foundation for more definition.

These are the swatches for the contour sticks, if these look a little light for your complexion, Zukreat (founder of the brand) also created a 'medium' highlight stick along with a 'dark' contour stick for darker skin tones. I find the shades of these sticks would work very well for light - medium skintones because although the highlight may look very light or the contour may look very dark, I asure you, when you start blending them into the skin, they look amazing.

I think you can tell by now that I am head over heals in love with these contour sticks and I would recommend them to all! You won't be disappointed so give them a go!

The Sponge

If you didn't know already, I love my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I use it nearly every single day to apply my concealer because I find that nothing gives me a better finish including brushes and fingers. You can use it with any liquid/cream products (even some powder).
The beauty blender is very hyped between many bloggers and vloggers but I've never found the need to cave out and buy it because I love my RT one and its less than half the price.

If you haven't tried out this sponge yet, then I definitely recommend giving it ago because I just wouldn't apply my concealer with anything else. I sometimes do apply my foundation with it as well but it tends to give it a little less coverage so I do prefer to use brushes with foundation. I do although recommend that you change up your sponge every so often because old sponges get stained a lot easier and I have found from purchasing a new one that the bounciness wears away with it as well. You can see the different in the picture from an old to a new sponge (the old one is freshly washed as well) and there is a huge difference so make sure you do buy a new one when you find your old one getting a bit worse for wear!

3 Simple Steps To Strobing!

Strobing has been blown up recently in the makeup world and I love it! Its basically highlighting to the extreme and if you know me at all then you will know that I love to look glowy and my obsession is highlighter! With strobing, you scrap the contour, put a little bit of bronzer on and highlight the hell out of your face.

I like to layer my highlight to get a more intense look and that way it can last all day too. You don't necessarily have to be wearing a dewy foundation to strobe so for you oily skin girls, you can still be wearing a matte foundation!
Although as a first step I would recommend applying a luminous primer underneath your foundation so there is a slight glow on your skin that you can add to later and the one I have is the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Base, this is great for adding that subtle glow all over.
Next you want to take a cream highlighter and hit up all the places you had to highlight and stand out, and with strobing its on the tops of your cheekbones, down the nose, middle of the forehead, cupids bow, chin, inner corners of the eye, under the brow and on top of the brow. Now that is a lot of places to highlight but what the cream will do is make the powder highlight you put on top stand out a lot more and last a lot longer because it has something to stick to. The cream highlight will also add a lot to the shine too and the one I use is the Topshop Glow Highlighter in Gleam.
Lastly you want to apply your favourite powder highlighter to top everything off and make your skin glow. My current favourite which I cant get enough off is the Bobbi Brown Bronze Shimmer Brick, this highlighter is just insanely beautiful and I like to mix the top two/three rows to give me the light bronze glow that I want! Apply this to all the places you applied your cream highlight to intensify the glow and now you are well and truly strobed!
Strobing isn't for everyone but if you like the look of it then give it a try!
If you want a video on strobing then the best one I have seen is by Desi Makeup. She does a really good demonstration on how to strobe and you can learn a lot from that too!

L'Oréal Lumi Magique Squad!

I only just realised that I have the whole L'Oreal Lumi Magique collection (oops except the powder) in my stash of makeup which includes the Primer, the Foundation and the Highlighter Pen. You know I love my glowy skin so anything that claims to be luminous I have to try!

In actual fact, I love them all together and separately. The foundation I have done a 'First Impressions' on (here) and like I said in that post, I adore it and it is my current go-to foundation! Its luminous and has a flawless finish and its great for the summer!
I just recently bought the primer because I had heard a lot of bloggers raving about how luminous and amazing it looks underneath and mixed in with foundation; personally I thought it would be a tad more luminous but it still does give a nice subtle glow to the skin.
The highlighter pen I have had for the longest and I used to be obsessed with it. If I am going for a super natural look then I would wear it on its own but normally for any look I would put it on top of any concealer for the extra brightness. It only comes in 2 shades and I have the first shade which is more yellow toned, and the second shade is more pink toned!
I actually don't own the powder in this range so let me know if you have it and if you like it! I will definitely be getting use out of all these products during the summer especially as I love to look as glowy as possible in the sun! Not a lot of people may like that look but for a dry skin girl like me, its what you want aha!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer - Worth The Hype?

So I am definitely back into the swing of things and everything will go back to normal with posting multiple blog posts a week, like I mentioned in my previous post I have just been very busy but I am back and I am ready to start posting regularly again (Yey!).
I have seen this concealer being very hyped about in the beauty world so I figured I would give you my thoughts if it's worth the hype!

I'll start off by talking about the colour range and in general the colour range is really quite bad. The lighter shades really jump in colour with the fairest shade being really light then the shade after that being a lot darker. They do have different tones in the shades as well like 'neutral' and 'warm'. I hope this all makes sense! Personally I have the shade Medium Light Neutral and I really do wish there was a 'Medium Light Warm' because I feel like it looks quite ashy and slightly grey under my eyes. The shade itself is a great shade for me, so its not too light (which can sometimes cause grey tones) and it's not too dark so it's very wierd but it's the slight ashiness that let me down.
However, the formula of this concealer is amazing! It applies very smoothly and blends out so well and most importantly, it doesn't crease under the eyes. It lasts really well throughout the day and it is super lightweight but the coverage is really good. I also use this on blemishes because it covers them really well and lasts.
Overall the concealer itself is seriously good stuff and definitely worth the hype but unfortunately it's just the shade that puts it a step back although because I really like the formula I do tend to mix it with other, warmer concealers to make it wearable! It's definitely one to pick up if you find the right shade for you so go into a store and do a bit of swatching!

Fashion Haul! H&M, Miss Guided and More!

I know I haven't posted for over a week but I have just been so super busy and I have had no time at all so I am so sorry! I've been meaning to post this haul for a while so here it is! I have been doing a little bit of shopping here and there from multiple different places so I'm going to show you what I bought!

Firstly from H&M I bought this light dusty pink blazer style jacket, I have been looking for a nice light jacket in this style that just goes with everything so as soon as I spotted this I had to have it!

This dress is also from H&M and when I saw it in the shop I just kind of passed it and didn't think much of it but when it caught my eye again I picked it up and tried it on and I then realised how amazing it looks on! Its very cute and all lacy and I love it!

This was the last thing I picked up from H&M and I really like it as I think it will be great for a casual summer outfit and the denim like colour really suits all!

I instantly fell in love with this playsuit from MissGuided because of beautiful summery floral print. I posted a picture of this on my Instagram and got lots of compliments so I am definitely happy with this and I cant wait to wear it!

Matalan isn't a shop I normally go into but I recently went past and thought I had to make a visit. I only came out with one item and that was this long cotton cardigan, I knew I could wear this with a lot of different outfits even in the summer and I think it is definitely a staple!

I have recently had an obsession with sunglasses so I picked up two that I really liked the look of! The one on the left is an aviator style sunglass and I picked it up from a shop in the middle of a shopping centre so I cant tell you where exactly its from but there are a lot that are similar from other places. The one on the right is from MissGuided and I really liked the slight cat eye shape on them and they are really in at the moment and the black colour just goes with any outfit!

Lastly from H&M I bought this set of rings which I just fell in love with and had to have! It is a mixture of normal sized rings and midi rings and you can wear some of them together and it looks really nice on!
So that concludes everything I have bought recently! I know this I two hauls in a row  but I've just had so much that I have bought to share!

Highend Beauty Haul!

I has been saving up all of my pennies for a while now so I could have a huge high end makeup spree! It was also my birthday a couple of weeks ago so it was a nice treat to buy myself some new beauties!

I first put into my basket the Bobbi Brown Bronze Shimmer Brick, I have seen nothing but good reviews on this product and its one of Bobbi Brown's best selling products so it has been one I have wanted for ages! Highlighter is my obsession and I love a full on dewy look, also I felt like with this one you could also use the darker shades as a blush/bronzer and also on the eyes!
I am a dry skin girl so cream products always appeal to me; cream bronzers are very rare and I believe Chanel was one of the first to come out with one. The Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel is very hyped product and it is a very luxurious product too, it is definitely one to purchase a treat as it is very pricey for what it is. It comes in one universal shade which I don't think would work for darker skin tones but would be good for light/medium skin tones. I am super excited to try this and I will definitely report back to you what I think of it!
The Urban Decay naked palettes are very, very popular and it is a cult beauty product that everyone loves but surprisingly I have never tried any of the palettes so I thought I would first try their basics palette because it is full of neutral colours that I love! The Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette is the one I picked up and this is more of a cool toned palette which I don't normally go for but I really wanted to give it a try!

Another Urban Decay product I put into my basket was the Naked Skin Concealer, this is a fairly knew product from Urban Decay and they claim it to be weightless, light defusing and complete coverage which is very appealing to me and I'm super excited to try it!
I was super excited when Makeup Forever launched in Debenhams because before, it was very hard to get hold of in UK. I definitely took advantage and purchased the Hydrating Primer, as soon as this range of primers came out all the beauty bloggers went crazy for them so it was at the top of my list of products I wanted to try out and I thought the hydrating one was best suited for me so I picked that one up!
Lastly, I purchased the Mac Lip Pencil in Subculture. I have been on the hunt for a nice nude lip pencil that would pair with many different lipsticks and I had seen swatches of this shade online so I decided to go for this pencil because I really liked the shade of it!

All of these products that I bought were all a treat to myself for my birthday, it doesn't happen often so it is very exciting because I love makeup and it's my passion!

My Dream Holiday Destinations!

I feel like I've been doing a lot of beauty posts recently and neglecting the fashion and lifestyle side of my blog, so your definitely going to see more of fashion and lifestyle from me! Anyway, I though I would share with you some of my dream holiday destinations that I would love to visit in the future!

Turkey has always been a country I wanted to visit to enjoy the culture in the cities and also the amazing beaches! The food is also very interesting so I would love to go and I'm sure I would be left with an amazing experience!

Australia is just amazing from what I have seen in pictures! It looks like an absolute dream and who wouldn't want to go to Australia, right? Its so beautiful and I would to see it all in person!

The Maldives has to be my ultimate dream holiday that I would love to go to lye down on the beach with the bright blue sea in front of you and get a tan! It looks like a dream holiday from the outside so experiencing it from the inside would be a dream come true!
Lastly, the country that I want to visit is Egypt! I've always to go and have that experience near the pyramids and also by the beach with the super hot weather, also the food is something I would love to try!
Where are your dream holiday destinations?

Loreal Lumi Magique Foundation - First Impressions!

I have wanted this foundation for absolutely ages, so when I was gifted it by friend a few days ago, I was extremely excited! From what I had heard about this foundation I thought it would suit me perfectly and what I look for in a foundation, and I have to say it has certainly not let me down! This is more of a first impressions rather than a review because I have only tried this once so far and I wanted to try a different style of post!

From first application I realised it is around a medium coverage, it is quite buildable but I feel if you want a full coverage you will have to do a lot of building. The finish it leaves on the skin is quite luminous and it doesn't cling to any dry patches on the face, also it looks extremely natural and undetectable on the skin which I love!
I first applied this on its own, with no primer and no powder and this is how it lasted throughout the day....
3 hours - Hasn't faded at all on the skin, looks exactly the same from when first applied. Flawless, luminous, natural.
5/6 hours - Still looks flawless although it is starting fade ever so slightly across the nose and cheeks, and it does look slightly more luminous than the beginning and I do not have oily skin at all, so if you do have oily skin this may not be a good one for you!
8/9 hours - Redness is definitely starting to show and at this point I wanted to touch up slightly over them areas with a bit of concealer to add more coverage because it was fading across my nose, cheeks and jawline.

This foundation does not claim to be long lasting but for the average time, it does last pretty well and also keep in mind I didn't use a primer or powder with it! From first impressions, I wouldn't recommend this for oily skin girls because I can see this getting very shiny on you whereas if you have dry skin and you like that luminous look then I think this foundation would be your best friend! I have to say I am in love with this foundation, although the only down side is that the colour range is really bad so I would definitely go in store and test it out on your face before you buy it!

High End Beauty Wish list!

I did a Drugstore Beauty Wish list a few months back (here) and since then I have purchased some of the products I mentioned, so I thought it was about time I did a high-end version and share with you some of the current products on my never-ending wish list!

I'll start off with lashes because I have recently just been obsessed with false eyelashes, I just really like the way they look and the different styles that can go with any look and the lashes I have wanted to try for so long now are the Huda Beauty Lashes. I want to try pretty much all the styles she has although these lashes are not cheap and for false lashes I would say they come under the high-end category. I have seen tons of pictures on instagram of girls wearing these beautiful lashes and I want them so bad!
Also for lashes, I really want to try the Lancôme Grandiose Mascara as I have had an eye out for it for a long time and my friend owns it and loves it and the wand on the brush is also very interesting and unique so its very intriguing!
Sticking to the eyes, an eye shadow pallet I have been eyeing for a while now is the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2. This is a cool toned neutrals pallet and its so versatile and compact it would be amazing for every day looks and travelling! I normally go for warm toned shadows because that is typically what I'm drawn to but I really want to branch out and I think this pallet is perfect!
I love my bronzer so when a new one come out and everyone starts raving about it, I have to have it! So the Makeup Forever Pro Bronze Fusion is definitely the bronzer I next want to try! It looks so beautiful!
The last product im going to share with you on my miles long wish list is the Clinique Cheek Pop in Melon Pop, I have heard so much about this blush and how amazing it is and I believe they have just brought out another load of summer shades so I definitely want to get my hands on melon pop soon!

What is on your wish list?

May Favourites!

I don't often have favourites to show you every month and if I do they are very little but this month I still wanted to show you some products I have been loving, we've got a little bit of skincare, a bit of makeup, brushes and body so lets get cracking!

I'll start off with my most favourite this month and that has to be the Real Techniques Duo-Fibre Face Brush, you can get this brush in 2 sets from real techniques and if you find it anywhere I definitely advise you to pick it up because this brush is amazing! I love using it for powder, bronzer and blush and I won't use any other brush! It applies just the right amount of product that isn't too much and the bristles are so super soft its unreal!
Next I have been loving the Benefit Bella Bamba Blush, I mentioned this in my last post too for my top spring/summer blushes and I have just been using it all month! I know that this blush is discontinued which is an absolute pain but I still wanted to mention it just in case you had it lying around somewhere in your collection and you had forgotten about it!
A lip product favourite this month has to be the NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Skintone. This has just been my go-to nude recently as I love the warm peach undertones of it and I don't have any other colour in my collection that comes near this! The texture is very beautiful, it applies evenly on the lips and it is fairly long wearing throughout the day.
Onto skincare and I only have one product here and it is the Goodthings Manuka Honey Face Mask. This face mask is amazing , it plumps the skin, hydrates, firms, brightens, it seriously does whatever you want a face hydrating face mask to do. I was pleasantly surprised by this mask as I didn't think much of it as I had never heard anyone talk about it but this face mask is now definitely a staple in my skincare draw!
Now the last thing I have been loving this month is the Dove Summer Glow Gradual Tan Lotion -that is a super long name-. I really like this because for me it just adds that touch of warmth all over my body and does give me that summer tan glow that it claims, for me it starts to show after 2 days of applying and it does give you that hint of moisture to your skin from the 'lotion' side of it!

What have you been loving this month?

Flirty Pinks - Makeup Menu #3

I am back with another makeup menu for you and today I am going for a girly, pretty pink theme with my makeup!

For the base as usual it is the Bourjois Happy Light Foundation, I am going for light dewy skin with this look because I feel like that suits pink tones very well! Also for concealer, its the classic Maybelline Fit Me Concealer because it is just the bomb. A natural pink flush on the cheeks would look gorgeous for this look so I opted for the NYX Blush in Mocha and this is a beautiful matte blush so to add some glow to the skin with a pinky, champagne coloured highlight I went for the Benefit High Beam highlighter on the tops off the cheekbones and down the centre of the face.
Moving on, onto the eyes, I am going for the MUA Undressed Pallet because this does have a few beautiful shadows in there with slight pink undertones so I thought this would be perfect! You could really play around with the shades and create your own flirty look! You can use any mascara you want and you can go for wispy false lashes too because that would look beautiful with this look, the mascara that I picked out is the L'Oreal Telescopic False Lash Mascara.
Either a nude or a light pink lip would go amazingly with the whole look but I of course went with a light, bright pink glossy lip and that is the Tanya Burr Lipgloss in First Date. I love the formula of these glosses and I have a review on them I did ages ago but I will link it here.
I also added a little pink nail polish that is absolutely gorgeous and it is the Barry M Nail Paint in Strawberry Ice Cream, this is a beautiful light pink shade and it will compliment the makeup really well too!
So that is how to achieve a flirty, girly, pink makeup look!

The Best Spring/Summer Blushes!

I am a big blush fan and I also love my bright and muted summer blushes so I'm going to show you some of my favourites!

So we'll begin with a pallet and it's the Sleek Blush By 3 Pallet in Lace. This is my go-to blush pallet for the summer as the shades are all very warm extremely summer appropriate with a bright orange, a golden shimmery pink and a coral, these blushes are very pigmented and the formula is great!
Next I have a mini sample size blush which is the Benefit Bella Bamba Blush, I do believe that this blush is discontinued but if you do own it then I would definitely recommend bringing it out for the summer as you would get a lot of use out of it because it is that perfect pinky coral shade with slight golden and silvery shimmers which is beautiful!
The NYX Blush in Mocha I would say is an all rounder blush you could wear all year round but it is still absolutely gorgeous for the summer! I would wear this when I only want a little flush of colour on the cheeks and it will go with any look you do so it is a must!
The last blush is the Maxfactor Creamy Blush in Soft Pink. Cream blushes are ideal for the summer because they give that nice dewy glow to the cheeks which most people like in the summer and it look super natural and pretty on the skin!

What blushes do you love for the summer?

Real Techniques Nic's Picks Collection!

I only recently got my hands on the Real Techniques Nic's Picks Collection and I have been using them every single day constantly since I got it - as you can see they are a bit dirty but I put it back into the packaging to show you ;-) -! I know this collection came out a while ago but it is still available on allbeauty.com .

These brushes are exactly the same quality as the rest of the Real Techniques brushes, they are super soft and they do not shed. With this collection I mainly had my eye on the first brush which is the Duo-Fibre Face Brush and it didn't let me down, it is by far my favourite brush out of all of them! I use it for a light application of powder, bronzer and blush and it is also great for cream products, I absolutely love it!
The second brush is the Cheek Brush and after playing around with it, I prefer to use this as a contour brush. I'm not a big fan of it for blush but I really like it to apply a thick but still defined contour although it is also great for cream products too!
The third brush is the Angled Shadow Brush and I really do like this brush. It is perfect to apply that crease colour and whilst applying it, it blends out the edges beautifully too so the brush does all the work for you so it is a crease brush and a blending brush in one!
The fourth brush along is the Base Shadow Brush, I already own this brush from the Starter Kit but I am happy that I have another one so I can use one to apply and the other one to blend. This brush is stiff enough to apply a wash of colour to the lid but still fluffy enough to blend out the shadow nicely.
The last brush is the Eyeliner Brush, I was really looking forward to using this brush because I needed a new eyeliner brush for gel eyeliner but for me it is just too thick. It is good for applying a thin line across the lash line but it is too thick to do a wing so you don't get that nice sharp flick.

So that is my overall review on this set! What do you think?
