March Beauty Favourites!

Hey guys! I decided to do a favourites this month as I haven't done one in absolutely ages and I have been trying out a lot of new products recently so I've got a lot to talk about! You might ask why I don't do a favourites post every month and that is because I really don't have a bunch of different favourites every month so they normally stay the same, I don't try a lot of new products every month and I don't want to do a monthly favourites posts without putting my absolute favourites in that I really love! I like to keep it real!

My first favourite has to be the Colab Dry Shampoo. I did a review on this as soon as it came out and i said that I loved it and my opinion hasn't changed since then! I have repurchased it because my first one ran out because this has become my holy grail dry shampoo, I have tried a fair share of dry shampoos and this has by far been the best I have tried! It refreshes like nothing else and gets rid of any grease, it is also invisible - so dark haired girls, don't you worry -.

I actually have a few base products this month as I am just obsessed with foundations at the minute! The first foundation is the Bourjois Happy Light Foundation. You may have seen this foundation in my 'Beauty Wish list' post which I did about 2 weeks ago because I have wanted this foundation for absolutely ages! I have only had this for a week but I am loving it! It is a very light weight, light coverage foundation which is nicely build able that smooths over the skin and leaves a nice dewy finish. The best part for me is that it is undetectable on the skin and super natural looking!

The next base product I have is in fact a tinted moisturiser. It is the No7 Triple Protection Tinted Moisturiser, I have mentioned this a few times before but I have really been getting back into it this month, it adds a hint of colour to the skin making it look very radiant and glowy. Every time I wear this product I get a lot of complements on my skin because it makes it look amazing!

Next I have a concealer and it is the Maybelline Eye Eraser Concealer. I never thought I would see the day I would ever like a concealer as much as my beloved Maybelline Fit Me but Maybelline have strikes again and have got another amazing concealer! This concealer is actually very similar to the Fit Me in that it is light weight and very natural on the skin. I can't choose which I like better!

This is the last base product, I promise, and it is the Sleek Luminous Pressed Powder . I have had this powder for ages but I have neglected it for a few months after I discovered the Bourjois powder. I don't wear powder much as it is because I like my dewy, glow skin but this powder sets the makeup in place all day and it adds to the glow. You may be confused right now 'how can a powder add glow?' But this has finely milled shimmer particles in it that are barely noticeable on the skin but it reflects the light beautifully and I have fallen back in love with it this month!

I feel like this eye-shadow is a classic and I just had to include it in this post and its the Mac Woodwinked Eyeshadow. This is my go-to eye-shadow if I don't know what to wear and if I feel like wearing colour on my eye then this is a nice base colour to start off with. It goes with absolutely everything and it is just the perfect bronzy golden shade that is so natural!

My last favourite of this month is the Boots Botanics Hydrating Eye Cream. This has been a life saver for me as I have recently been struggleing with visible dry patches all around my eye and this has helped it go away and it does a great job at hydrating my eyes very well!

So that sums up all my favourites this month!

The Full Cover Flawless Base!

I don't know if you remember a while back but I did a 'Flawless Undereye' blog post, so i thought i would add to it and do a 'Flawless Base' post. Today im going to show you all the steps & products you need to achieve a flawless base!

To start off with to achieve that smooth skin that the foundation can glide onto, we are going to use a primer. The one i have is the Benefit Porefessional Primer, this primer is good at smoothing over your pores to leave a nice surface area for the foundation.
My foundation of choice for a full coverage base is the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24h Foundation. This is a medium buildable foundation that does last pretty much all day and it leaves a velvet feel on the skin, it covers very well and doesn't look cakey at all, i have a full reveiw on this foundation here.
Then for concealer I have the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. This is the concealer i would use on the skin to cover extra redness and blemishes because it is full coverage and it will literally cover everything! This is an empty bottle of this concealer because i need to repurchase it!

Lastly to complete that flawless base we need to set it all with some powder and the one i have been absoloutly loving for ages now is the Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder, it sets the foundation really nicely and gets rid of any unwanted shine but leaves a healthy glow to skin. I also have a full reveiw on this here!
Lastly, i just wanted to include a bronzer because i feel like it can just add that finishing touch to your makeup and the bronzer that i have continuously raved about forever is the Body Shop Honey Bronzer, this is a beautiful matte bronzer that looks very natural on the skin adding a hint of colour.

So that is how i achieve a full coverage flawless base!

My Drugstore Beauty Wish list!

I'm sure it's not just me that has a huge list of beauty products on their phone that they really want to buy! Well I'm going to show you some drugstore bits on my wish list.

I've had the Bourjois Happy Light Foundation on my wish list for a very, very long time but I just don't seem to be getting around to buying it. I've only heard good things about this foundation and its claims are everything I look for in a foundation: Luminous, lightweight, undetectable, moisturising, natural finish. That all sounds good to me!

Next, also from Bourjois I have the Bronzing Primer. This is basically a cream bronzer and if you didn't know already, I love my cream products so a cream bronzer sounds nice to me! The only other cream bronzer I know of is the Chanel one, so I really think more brands need to jump on cream bronzing bandwagon!

As you all know, my number 1 concealer of all time is the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, but I have nearly run out of it and me being me wanting to try out new things all the time, I thought I would try a different concealer so the one I have in mind is the Maybelline Eye Eraser Concealer, I have heard a lot of rave about this concealer so I really want to give it a go!

I'm still on the hunt to find a mascara that will seriously wow me, and the one I have been eyeing up for quite some time now is the Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara, I haven't heard a negative thing about this mascara before and it was hyped up quite a while ago so I really want to give it ago to see if this mascara will live up to my standards!

I also have a cleanser that I have been wanting to try over the past month as my Body Shop Chamomile Cleaner is very nearly out, so the Una Brennan Superfacialist Oil Cleanser has been the one that I want to replace it with as I have only heard selective people taking about it and what I have heard has all been good!

So that is a little insight into my wish list of beauty buys! Leave me a comment down bellow telling me if you would like a high end wish list too!

Half Lashes?

Hey guys, so I'm super sorry about not posting on Sunday, I was really busy last week so to make up for it I am posting twice this week! Today's post is going to be about half lashes so see what I think of them.......

If you follow me on Instagram (beautily14) then you will know I recently purchased these Tanya Burr Everyday Flutter Half Lashes. My idea of half lashes was that they would look really odd because half of your eye would have amazing lashes and the other half wouldn't have as amazing lashes, after I tried these lashes (how many times can I say lashes in a sentence) my idea of them still haven't really changed. I have tried using them and applying them in many different ways but they just don't seem to work for me, I have quite short lashes and these false lashes are quite long and they just look really odd as the outer corner of my eyes look great but the iner corner looks terrible.

Overall my verdict of half lashes are that I just don't get them and how they wear so I think I will stick to my full strip lashes. What do you think of half lashes?
