A Few New Skincare Bits!

I recently went out and bought a few new skincare bits because some of my current products are coming to an end and I always love trying out new products every time so these are my first impressions on these items!

To start off with, I have the Good Things Manuka Honey Creamy Cleanser and the Radiance Face Mask. This is a brand I have never come across before, I had never heard about any of their products so when I walked past them in boots I was intrigued. Manuka Honey is known to be amazing for your skin so these products really struck me. I first tried out the cleanser to remove a full face of makeup and I have to say, it really didn't work. It took a bit of the makeup off but a lot was still left on my face; I now use this as a last step cleanser, I would first of all take my makeup off with a makeup remover then use this to cleanse my skin to draw all the dirt out and it works really well that way! The Radiance Face Mask I instantly fell in love with, it is a white clay mask and I keep it on my skin for 10 mins, after that as soon as you take it off you can see instant results. It really does brighten and it smoothes your skin out so well. Both of these products are super hydrating because that's what the manuka honey is for!

From Garnier I have the 2 in 1 Makeup Remover and the Moisture Match Ultra Hydrating Rich Cream. The makeup remover is great at taking every thing off in one go, it takes waterproof makeup off really well too. The only thing with this product is that it leaves an oily residue on the skin so you will definitely have to splash your face with water after you use it. I needed a new day time moisturiser that was very hydrating for my super dry skin so I picked this one up. It does hydrate the skin very nicely but you have to be careful with it when applying makeup on top because it can makeup it slip and slide around a bit because it is super hydrating but it doesn't sink into the skin straight away, if I am not wearing makeup and I just put it on, I can still feel it on my skin at the end of the day!

So that is my overview on these skincare products! Don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin to receive instant updates every time I upload a post, the link is in the sidebar ;-)

Contour Kit for Eyes and Face!

I have loved the Sleek Contour Kit for quite some time now because its a great contour powder which isn't too warm or to cool. The highlight shade is also beautiful, its really nice and subtle but you can also build it up for a more intense highlight. But I don't just love this pallet for the face, it is perfect for the eyes! The contour shade is my perfect crease shade and the highlight is great as a lid colour. I love wearing both on my eyes on an every day basis because it gives me a beautiful natural look on the eyes. I finish it off with a bit of eyeliner and mascara and the eyes are done!

This is a great pallet for the face and eyes and it is a staple of mine! I always use products not for their original purposes, you should always use a product were you want it and how you want it!

If All My Makeup Disappeared!

Hey guys so today I'm going to show you 7 products (I was meant to do 5 but couldn't resist) that I would run out and purchase if all of my makeup disappeared. I know, it is a very scary thought and all we can do is hope that it will never ever happen but if it ever did, these are the products that I would buy first!

I first mentioned this Bourjois Happy Light Foundation in my March Favourites post and I had a complete rave about it there because this is litterally the perfect foundation for me; its luminous, lightweight, light coverage, buildable and just all round amazing! I wear it nearly every single day and i love it so if this disappeared, i would run out and get it!

This Maybelline Eye Eraser Concealer was also in my March Favourites post because it is a more recent discovery and i have really, really been loving this! If im honest if all my concealers had gone it would be a toss up between this and the Fit Me concealer because these concealers are my absoloute favourites!

This is the Sleek Blush By 3 Pallete in Lace and the reason i would repurchase this is because it does have 3 of my favourite blush shades and you get a 3 in 1 for amazing quality - highly pigmented - blushes!

The Artist Of Makeup Eyeshadows are seriously amazing, I have a full reveiw here on these eyeshadows and they would litterally be the first eyeshadows i would run out and buy because they are extremely pigmented and not chalky and super buttery smooth. I can do a lot of different looks with these eyeshadows and they are just the bomb.

I have talked about the Body Shop Honey Bronzer countless times but it is seriously the best bronzer i have tried so far, it is super natural on skin and gives the perefct bronzed glow.

Gel eyeliner is my prefrence of liner over liquid and pencil, i find it is super easy to apply and so far my favourite gel liner is the Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner. I can use this normally on the lid for a feline flick and i can also use this to tightline my upper lash line and it lasts really well.

If I was only to buy one lip product it would the Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Chic. This is a beautiful nude/pink shade and it is what i wear regularly. I like a nude lip, i like a glossy lip, so this gloss is a staple!

So they are the first products i would rush out to buy if all my makeup disappeared!

Makeup Menu #2 - Spring

So it's now officially spring and I couldn't let spring pass without doing a makeup menu! Tell me if you like these posts so I can do them more frequently!

I've only got eyes, lips and cheeks in this post because the base is just the same as usual! Light, fresh and dewy.
For the eyes my pick is the MUA Undressed Eyeshadow Pallete. This pallete has a lot of versitile colous from pinks to golds to blues so personally i think its a great all rounder, it also has a good matte brown in it which is very well loved! For this look i would either go for the pink or gold tones.
For this specific look i would skip eyeliner and go straight onto mascara, of course my current mascara pick would be my favourite mascara duo, i did a whole post on this here. Its the Loreal So Cotour Volume Million Lashes and the Loreal Clean Definition Mascara.
All of the shades in the Sleek Blush By 3 Pallete in Lace would be amazing for spring because they are all coraly pink shades that would look amazing all spring!
I've got two lip options here because I think they are both so suitable for spring and would look amazing! Its the Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Picnick in the Park and the Maybelline Baby Lips Electro in Strike a Rose. These are both really nice coral pink shades and you could wear them together or alone!

So there is my spring makeup menu!

Makeup Menu #1 - Natural

I thought I would start this new 'series' of posts called Makeup Menu. Each time I will pick a look and show you all the products I use to create that look, todays look is Natural.

For the base I have chosen the Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream because I feel like this covers most of the imperfections you may have on your face but it looks super natural on the skin and it leaves a satin finish. I wanted a concealer that is really light but highlighting as well and the Soap&Glory Kick Ass Concealer came to mind straight away because it ticks all them boxes, I use the pinky shade under my eyes and it gives me a beautiful finish and you can't tell that its there!

Bronzer is a must for me because I just love the way it looks on my skin and the one that I absolutely love and rave about all the time is the Body Shop Honey Bronzer, I love this bronzer because it gives the most natural bronze you will ever see and I reach for it every day and it is my holy grail! For blush I would use the NYX Blush in Mocha, it isn't a mocha colour at all (weird) its actually a really nice muted pink shade (the picture gets the colour of it completely wrong) and it goes with every single look you will ever do and it is super natural on the skin! I love me some highlighter whatever look I am creating so my current favourite is the Topshop Glow Highlighter in Gleam, this is absolutely gorgeous on the skin and gives a beautiful natural highlight and that is what we are going for!

Now onto the eyes and lips and for the natural days I would only use one eye shadow and that would be the Mac Eye Shadow in Woodwinked. This eye shadow is super beautiful and it looks so natural on lid, it gives a hint of a bronzy sheen and when you blend it out well it turns into a sort of burnt orange colour and it looks like you applied a crease colour too so its so easy!
For eyeliner I would just apply a very thin line across the lash line for some definition and no fancy wing, the eyeliner I have been trying out recently is the Rimmel Glam Eyes Eyeliner, I haven't fully developed my opinion on this eyeliner yet so I will get back to you, but so far its been alright.
Even on natural days I like big lashes and the Mascara that I have been using lately is the Benefit They're Real Mascara, I have the mini size and I do really like this mascara, it's not my holy grail and I am still on the hunt for a mascara that will wow me and when I find it, trust me, I will have a huge review up about it!
Lastly, for the lips my pick is the Mac Lipstick in Peach Blossom, to me this is a light pinky nude and looks amazing on them natural days because it just adds a little something to lips and I love it!

Please let me know if you like this new series of mine and if you would like me to carry on with it!
