Highend Beauty Haul!

I has been saving up all of my pennies for a while now so I could have a huge high end makeup spree! It was also my birthday a couple of weeks ago so it was a nice treat to buy myself some new beauties!

I first put into my basket the Bobbi Brown Bronze Shimmer Brick, I have seen nothing but good reviews on this product and its one of Bobbi Brown's best selling products so it has been one I have wanted for ages! Highlighter is my obsession and I love a full on dewy look, also I felt like with this one you could also use the darker shades as a blush/bronzer and also on the eyes!
I am a dry skin girl so cream products always appeal to me; cream bronzers are very rare and I believe Chanel was one of the first to come out with one. The Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel is very hyped product and it is a very luxurious product too, it is definitely one to purchase a treat as it is very pricey for what it is. It comes in one universal shade which I don't think would work for darker skin tones but would be good for light/medium skin tones. I am super excited to try this and I will definitely report back to you what I think of it!
The Urban Decay naked palettes are very, very popular and it is a cult beauty product that everyone loves but surprisingly I have never tried any of the palettes so I thought I would first try their basics palette because it is full of neutral colours that I love! The Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette is the one I picked up and this is more of a cool toned palette which I don't normally go for but I really wanted to give it a try!

Another Urban Decay product I put into my basket was the Naked Skin Concealer, this is a fairly knew product from Urban Decay and they claim it to be weightless, light defusing and complete coverage which is very appealing to me and I'm super excited to try it!
I was super excited when Makeup Forever launched in Debenhams because before, it was very hard to get hold of in UK. I definitely took advantage and purchased the Hydrating Primer, as soon as this range of primers came out all the beauty bloggers went crazy for them so it was at the top of my list of products I wanted to try out and I thought the hydrating one was best suited for me so I picked that one up!
Lastly, I purchased the Mac Lip Pencil in Subculture. I have been on the hunt for a nice nude lip pencil that would pair with many different lipsticks and I had seen swatches of this shade online so I decided to go for this pencil because I really liked the shade of it!

All of these products that I bought were all a treat to myself for my birthday, it doesn't happen often so it is very exciting because I love makeup and it's my passion!

Handbag Makeup Essentials!

Sometimes my bag can get full and cluttered of makeup that I just chuck in there 'just in case' I will need it but in reality I never really do. So I'm just going to show you the products you will actually need if you want to stay on top of your makeup all day!

I think a powder would be an obvious one for everyone just to make sure you don't get shiny throughout the day and that your makeup will last all day as its an easy one to touch up with!
I feel like a concealer is also necessary as you never know when something might pop up on your face throughout the day and you really want to cover it up, you can also use the powder to set the concealer and make sure it lasts!
A spoolie (disposable mascara wand) is something that I have everywhere! They are so useful to go through your eyebrows if they are going crazy throughout the day because I know mine do!
An eyelash curler may not be necessary but if your anything like me and your eyelashes just drop throughout the day whatever mascara you use then sometimes you just want something that will pick them up a bit and make them look how they did in the morning.
My last handbag essential is a lip product and the lip product in my handbag changes everyday to what I am wearing that day, just in case I go out to eat and my lipstick comes off or if it just wears off throughout the day so a lip product is a must!

So they are all of my handbag essentials! What are yours? Are they the same?
And also I just wanted to ask you to leave some blog post requests in the comments! I'm having a bit of a blog brain freeze so let me know what you want to see!

5 Different Ways to Use a Buffing Brush!

I'm sure most of you will own a buffing brush or if you don't and you want a multitask brush then you should definitely buy one! My favourite is the Real Techniques Buffing Brush and I'm going to show you 5 different ways you can use a buffing brush!

1. Foundation - This is the obvious one that a lot of people would use it for, its great for buffing in foundation and working it into your skin for a flawless finish.

2. Concealer - A lot of people would be scared to poke themselves in the eye when using this for concealer (I used to be one!)  but with practise, it becomes very easy and it leaves a beautiful crease-less finish.

3. Contour - You can use the brush on its side and pick up a little bit of contour powder and work it into the hollows of your cheeks, it really does work and it looks seamless!

4. Cream Blush - I say cream blush because with powder it can apply a lot of product unless your super careful. You can pick up a nice amount of product and swirl it onto the apples of your cheeks and it also looks very blended and seamless!

5. Highlighter - Like the contour, you can turn the brush onto its side and dip it into the product then apply it onto the high points of your cheeks, this is ideal if you like that strong highlight but if not then you are better off with a fluffier brush.

When you buy any brush you should never read the label and think you can only use it for what it says, look at the brush and think how you can use it and what you want to use it for and go for it! Makeup has no rules, it is simply an art!
